68 problems with email :(

tay couldn't login to his new email this week (he doesn't know why) so he didn't get anything that we wrote. he wrote me from the old account and this is his letter:

Hey Mom,

i dont know what the deal is but the computer wont let me sign in at my new email address so if you sent anything then i didnt get it. this next week send to both this email and the new one. i dont know why they had to make us get new email addresses but we will just have to work with them as we figure it all out.

we are running short on time especially today. we have to go to transfers today. Elder Miller and i are not getting transferred but we have to go to transfers every time to get mail/supplies/etc. for our missionaries and we have some lessons to teach during p day time as usual. funny how some people can only meet when it is inconvenient for us.

this week was good. we have a new investigator named dan de***. he is going to be baptized on Apr 10th if everything goes well. he is a character. we found him in our former investigators section as we cleaned it out asking them all if they would resume investigation. he didnt progress with previous missionaries for a number of reasons but one was because he doesnt read well. we helped him get to the audio scriptures on lds.org and he has read through 1 Ne 20 since Wed. we commited him to baptism yesterday. he wouldnt go to Church on sunday but we commited him to that yesterday as well. he is a bit strange and talks about weird analogies for long periods of time before bringing the things that he says full circle. we have to strain our minds pretty hard to understand where he comes from. he is a biology major and somehow mixes that with philosophy and history. you would have to meet him.

skip is doing better. she lets us visit twice a week now. yesterday we came and she had been without a phone for a few days because she was confused about working her phones that she had bought. we helped her get that fixed. last thurs we trimmed her bushes. mostly we dont get to teach very much and we are just hoping that she will get to Church. hopefully we can establish a situation where she will not have anything to do around the house for us and we can teach. it was funny to hear her on the phone with the phone company. they told her that she needed to pay 55 bucks for the guy to come out and work on it but she rejected that payment pretty strongly.

lana is still doing alright. we thought that she died the other day. there have been a couple recent kidnappings here of women and she missed an appointment with us. so we looked for her because we thought where could she go? she speaks only russian and doesnt have a car. we couldnt find her for two days and we were about to get really concerned when we finally did find her. turned out that she has made another friend who is trying to learn russian that took her to a place where she could get internet. she thought that she sent us a text but her phone was discontinued. so we were relieved that she survived.

we are teaching another guy named michael pa*** who is dealing with psycholigical disorders from being in iraq. his team got mortored in a humvee and he was the only survivor. he has been addicted to pain pills for a long time. he is a really sincere man and has studied different religions for a while and has said that he wants to investigate our Church because it is the only religion he would consider commiting to. he loves the Book of Mormon. so things are much more stable and going lots better.

the ward has done a reset on thier missionary efforts in thier ward council. things are going good on all fronts. have a great week.

Love your favorite missionary,

Elder Taylor Barron
