Hey Mom,
fall set in here too. it has been coldish and rainy so i got to bust out that rainjacket again. Elder Hart and i were gonna check out the famous flower fields of Carlsbad today but i guess that will have to wait a week.
glad that you guys had a good time at the fair.
conference was great. Pres Cook didnt have me go out to teach recruits this week because he didnt want to split Elder Hart and i every week and he didnt want to send Elder Hart to teach by himself yet. lots of good stuff. i could talk about all the ones i liked but really i liked them all and learned alot. today we lose the c4 ward finally and are getting in two new elders. im really excited for my district to have new missionaries.
so yes, today Celina is getting baptized. we just finished her last lesson this morning. she is really excited. i am glad that we got to teach her. it was different teaching her because she already wanted to be baptized and everything but her testimony grew alot as we invited her to study and pray. she is ready to be a solid member now.
ed is doing really well. he has had some weird concerns but he recently just dropped them. he has started to take a new approach to our teaching after we helped him clean up his backyard. instead of being skeptical about some things he usually trusts us and he tells us all the time that we are his friends which has been good. now he believes that President Monson is the Prophet and we just need to help him clear up his sunday schedule.
Sis Robinson might be too busy to meet with us until they have the baby. we have only seen her once which was a really good lesson but it scares me when we cant see investigators frequently. Sis Robinson told us after reading some scriptures about prayer that she feels like she needs to pray with more intent.
met a guy named tony this week who has been reading the BoM with his LDS fiancee. he wants to get baptized on the first of november. it is interresting to teach him because he is a really smart guy. he is in school to be an astrophysicist. he had some crazy questions. hope all is goin good.
to Grandma:
i really enjoyed teaching the recruits and wish that i could have continued to teach them. they face alot of hardship and are really great guys.
to Grandpa:
it was a really great conference. lots of good things to learn. it seems like even when you feel that you know a topic in the gospel really well the general authorities carry a Spirit and testimony that helps everybody's level of understanding to deepen.
love,
Elder Barron

Congratulations on another wonderful baptism! Hope everything went well. Must have been difficult to get everything done you normally do on P-day and a baptism too! Glad to hear that the other investigators are doing well also.
It's a busy time of year for us too. The garden is just about finished producing anything so we need to take out the plants and get things ready for planting again in the spring. Football kind of gets in the way of work with all the Saturday games!
We have been enjoying our fall weather so much. Grandpa and I drove all over yesterday and ended up in Sundance which is especially beautiful this time of year. There were so many people there.
I won't take up any more of your time. Good luck with all you are doing. We continue our prayers for you and love you very much. Looking so forward to seeing you next month.
