Hey Mom,
Good job on finals! you are an all star student!
about kelan-- the only thing i think i will be that excited about is having my ipod and time to go running (besides seeing you people). i dont know that i could stay awake through a movie anymore.
i think that is a great idea to have grandpa stan's birthday be a big event. he sure is a great grandpa to have.
with my extra time instead of call in's we have been working on paperwork lately but that will end on friday and then i have to find something else to do. a couple nights tho we wrote some poems together. Elder Christensen has a hand for poetry so it is fun to do that with him.
this week was good. with dana we had a great lesson! she was able to recognize the Spirit in the lesson and she has a testimony that what we have taught her is true. she is not ready to commit to baptism yet because she does not think her parents will support her if she makes that choice. (i think, she hasnt told us that but we can infer from some things that she has said.) i think that we may not baptize her before she leaves for college but i think she will get baptized there. we will see and keep pushing for asap so that she can have the Holy Ghost to sustain her testimony.
the only other person that we are teaching worth mentioning right now is Caitlyn D***. she is the nine year old who lives with her mom only half the time. im not sure how everything will work out with her. her dad's side of the family is very anti mormon. she did make it out to Church this week so that was a good.
ron n*** also made it out to Church but we need to pass him to the other elders. hope everything continues to go well!
p.s i spent two days doing spanish work on exchanges and had a good time. spanish is really different because you can get in about any door you want to. you have to work out who is really interested in keeping commitments and will go to Church. i ate some real good hot salsa while i was there, it was really fun.
to Grandma:
i am glad to hear that Grandma Bert is getting better. the letters that they have sent have been really great to read. they may not understand everything that we teach as missionaries but they sure do support me and get excited to hear when i am doing well. hope that you get better.
Love,
Elder Barron
